Trust God for the Impossible 2 Kings 7:1-3: "Elisha replied," The Lord says that by this time tomorrow, two gallons of flour or four gallons of barley grain will be sold in the markets of Samaria for a dollar!" 2 The officer assisting the King said, " That couldn't happen if the Lord made windows in the sky!" 3 But Elisha replied, " You will see it happen but you won't be able to buy any of it!" Read 2 Kings 6:24-33, 2 Kings 7. This officer died, even though he saw the promise come true, he wasn't able to share in it's goodness. He was trampled to death at the gate. He never experienced the goodness of the Lord because of unbelief. This after he had received a promise from God who cannot lie! Don't we also do this? God promises in His Word, that He shall never forsake nor leave us, yet when things look bad, we tend to think that we are alone. He says that whatever we ask in Jesus Name , we shall receive (Mark 10:27). Still, we are inclined to believe that it doesn't apply to us. It is only for those special to the Lord. My dear friend, each one of us is special, we are all His children. When you accepted Jesus as your Redeemer, you became a child of God. You are so special that Jesus gave His life for you, so that you can have life in abundance, the goodness of God in abundance. He has already fulfilled all of God's promises. How can we not believe, that all He wants is for you to experience His love? We look at things form a human perspective, thinking that what we see is possible, but that which we ask isn't. We should look and believe with our new man, clothed in Jesus' righteousness, the Spirit of God that is in us, for God all things are possible. Yes, from a human perspective, it was not possible for food to be available in such abundance the next day, but remember, we receive from the hand of God who created this earth, who gave Hannah her son, who lead the Israelites in victory against the Amalikets (Ex. 17:15), who gave you a new Spirit. Prayer: Lord, I admit that I 've doubted in You at many occasions, I looked at the things that I could see, forgive me. I thank you for your forgiveness and accept it in Jesus Name. Lord, teach me your ways and make known to me Your everlasting Love in Jesus.
