His
Blood Save You!
What would you do? Would you give up your son (child) to die for someone
else? God did...
It works best when you really put yourself in that same circumstance.
This story might do just that:
One afternoon a Father returned home from work. As He was playing with
His Son that night, a quick news broadcast interrupted the usual television
programmes. Some 30000 people have died of a serious illness in a remote
village. He did not give it very much thought as the village was very
far from where they lived. Later, after He had put His Son to bed, another
news bulletin revealed that the number of people that have died of this
disease has now grown to 300000. By the next morning the disease had
spread and killed millions of people around the world.
The Father became very much concerned. Three days later some good news
came: A cure was found that would save the world. However, a very unique
blood-type was required to create this vaccine that would save the human
race. People around the world had to get themselves tested and after
a short while the Father was confronted with the news that His Son was
the Only person with this rare blood-type. He would have to authorize
for His Son to donate His blood. It then came to the Father that in
order to save the whole world His Son would have to give all of His
blood. His Son will die. The Father signed the necessary documents and
as He was leaving His Son to die, the Son asked Him: "Dad, why
are You leaving me? You said You would never leave Me nor forsake Me!!"
With a sad, broken heart this Father left His Son to die, but He knew
that it would save the world. Not many people attended the funeral,
although they knew why this Son died and how difficult it must have
been for the Father to give up His Son. No, they just carried on with
the normal lives, forgetting to honour this Father and His Son for saving
their lives.
Now back to the question: Would you have given up your son to save the
world knowing that this would be how they react? God did. Jesus' Blood
Saved You. Serve Him.
'For God so loved the world that He gave His Only begotten Son,
so that whosever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting
life.'
John 3:16
