Trees to His Glory

Isaiah 61:3 "for God has planted them like strong and graceful oaks to His glory"

God calls us priests to His glory, ministers of God -bringing His Word to foreigners {Isaiah 61:6). Jesus is the Tree of Life and we, His followers are also called oaks, planted by God. We are planted in Jesus by the blood covenant.

Jesus gives us a place of rest, a savehaven from the elements. He supplies the oxygen needed to live, He is strong, giving shelter to the weak. He brings joy. His word feeds us, we grow in Him. Our faith is multiplied through His Word.

Have you ever looked at a large oak? It is strong, it can withstand wind and rain and gives shelter to those who are homeless and afraid. The birds build their nests on its strong branches, safe from harm. It is beautiful and supplies food for growth for big and small and through it's fruit and leaves and even small insects feed on it's bark. It supplies oxygen needed to sustain life.It is anchored in fruitful ground.

The same applies for Jesus and through the blood covenant we are called trees of life. God has planted us in His Son, in Him we are strong and bear fruit of joy, love. We give shelter to the weary, we assist in growth, bring His Word that sustains life and growth in faith. We are this to His glory, for we cannot bear fruit outside Him, we cannot have love and spread love without Him.

We have to get our life from Him and spread His word to everyone - words that save, bring rest, bring people to Him - to become part of His family. It is wonderful to think that God has planted us and that He calls us trees to His glory.

If you are alone, homeless, hungry and weary, then come to Jesus. Stay in His shade, make your home on His branches, feed on His Word and be part of His family.
